Hotfix 1.0.3
Bugfixes Fixed Extended Mode runs finding no opponents, leaving you to fight a copy of your own team every round. Fixed some players waiting 30 seconds before every battle and then fighting a copy of their own team. Fixed Android players who had just signed in fighting a copy of their own team for the rest of that session. Fixed signing in on Android sometimes doing nothing after the browser sent you back to the game, until you tried a second time. Fixed the page you land on after signing in having no way back to the game when your phone's browser was set to desktop mode. Fixed switching accounts on the same PC or phone offering the new account the previous account's run to continue, and the new account's progress not saving.
Hotfix 1.0.2
New The game will now still be playable when you lose internet connection. This will let players play even when they have a poor connection or when the server is overloaded. Added a Credits screen, opened from the title screen's menu. (Shoutout to Tom Limouzin for the wonderful music in the game: Tomlimouzin (https://tomlimouzin.com/)) QoL Fast forward now has a speed setting on the Game tab: Fast (current speed), Very Fast, Max Speed. Some localization changes. Bugfixes Fixed signing in with Steam or Google on Android bringing you back to a game that had not noticed you signed in. Fixed the game handing you a brand new empty account instead of your own when the server was busy.
Hotfix v1.0.1
Server Issues I've been doing work on the server to try and fix server connectivity problems. It should be more stable now. I will continue to focus on resolving server issues for the next few days. Sorry for the inconvenience! QoL The title screen now has a Language button next to the menu, so you can change the language without digging into Settings. Balance Changes Sukoi Max level from its level up: 4 → 3 Shiny Sukoi Levels up: all adjacent allies → the ally above Max level from its level up: 4 (unchanged) Beetdown Damage per victory: 300 → 250 Bugfixes Fixed your profile quietly giving up on saving for the rest of the session when the server had a bad moment, so your rank, wins and Batopedia progress rolled back to an older state the next time you played. Fixed Steam sign-in on mobile often failing, and taking several tries to get through. Fixed Steam and Google sign-in on Android 11 and older finishing in the browser but never returning to the game. Fixed the "Tap your new Batomon" tutorial step not advancing on mobile when you tapped the monster it was pointing at. Fixed being able to open Settings, the Batopedia or Quit while a tutorial step was waiting on you, which left the tutorial drawn on top of them. Fixed the Patch Notes, Mobile and Discord buttons on the title screen being unreachable with a controller. Fixed losing controller focus after taking a screenshot on the run summary, after closing the ranked tutorial on the Rank Up screen, and after the first trinket gift tutorial. Fixed the Batopedia's trophy, medal and star help buttons being unreachable with a controller. Fixed the Extended Mode prompt being impossible to type into with a controller, and B closing the whole settings menu behind it. Fixed A and B doing nothing on a second connected controller. Fixed dialogue text revealing at half speed on Steam Deck.

Sell value Level 4 now resells at its level 3 price Geminiss Cooldown: 10.0s → 12.0s Pre-emptive nerf to compensate late game hp changes
Mobile Version News + Small Patch
Batomon Showdown will be available for mobile! The android version will be available on Google Play Store at the same time as the Steam release on September 15th, 2026. Pre-register here! (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.batomon.showdown) I am working to have the iOS version released at the same time, but it is having trouble getting approved in the App Store, so I can't guarantee it will be available in time. But it will be available in the future at some point! Small Patch Adjusted matchmaking so that you are much less likely to encounter teams with Dirgefin, Celestia, and Reapra. Added a link to mobile pages on the title screen.

Choosing a unique trinket with a duplicator active will NOT use up the duplicator.
Demo Patch 0.8.4

A \ tag has been added to trinket descriptions to clear denote which trinkets have this restriction. - Fixed a bug where sometimes, parts of item descriptions get cut off. - Fixed a typo on berry item descriptions. - Fixed a bug where some ongoing abilities do not apply in the run summary screen. - Fixed a UI layering bug when trying to use the Batopedia during trinket select in the shop.

Demo Patch 0.8.2 - Balance and Bugfixes
- Berroon's ability reworked to - On Battle Start, Increase next day's item limit by 1/2/3. - Shopkeeper - Item cost discount 25% -> 15% - Basic Candy - Cost $20 -> $30 - Magic Mirror - Cost $100 -> $120 - Magic Mirror's description reworded to specify that it gives a plain copy (meaning it does not copy any permanent buffs). - Removed Shiny Cherruble's "On Battle Start, Trigger this" portion of its ability. - Changed Rigalord's summons to trigger instantly when Rigalord cast instead of having a small delay - Fixed Mystic Incense not excluding monsters that you have a level 3 of already. - Fixed Shiny Prismagon not having the correct ability at level 4. - Fixed bug where if you have a monster that is level 3 or 4 and you get another monster of the same species and level via Recruiting Flyer or Magic Lasso, it would incorrectly trigger a level up merge to level 4 or 5. - Fixed a bug where if you use a berry item on an empty slot, the item would be consumed without giving you an extra item use. - Fixed a bug where if you are playing Masked Man, and get a Swim Coach mask, whenever your trainer ability triggers, the Swim Coach ability would give you an extra water Batomon. - Fixed a bug where the red HP draining animation on the HP bar does not play if the damage is lethal. - Fixed a bug where if Riglet devours Faebloom, Faebloom's accumulated damage buff does not persist.
Demo Patch 0.8.1 - Bugfixes
- Fixed description text not being vertically centered sometimes on trinkets. - Fixed an issue with controller getting softlocked during trainer selection from Mysterious Mask. - Fixed extra item uses gotten from Tote Bag getting reset upon quitting and reloading. - Fixed a bug with Magic Mirror where if you had a full team and bench, and then used Magic Mirror, it would give a level 4. - Fixed Faebloom's buff resetting upon leveling up. - Fixed a bug where Berroon would not give any extra item uses when leveled up from Basic Candy, or when acquired from Magic Mirror. - Fixed a bug with Rigalord's summons losing any extra types they have gotten. - Fixed enemy Chemist's not correctly saving the amount of poison their trainer ability has accumulated. - Fixed a bug where sometimes it would look like a team would still be alive at 0 HP. - Fixed Puffloon not having the correct stats upon leveling up. - Fixed a bug where if players quit mid-run and started a new run, they would sometimes be offered the exact same trainers as the previous run. - Trinkets that have a been used now correctly shows up at the run summary screen. Used trinkets also now show up correctly in the enemy trinket bag. This fix is not retroactive, so enemy teams made before this patch will still not have any used trinkets. -
Shopkeeper Update: New Items, Controller Support, and More! (v0.8.0)
This update adds the Shopkeeper trainer! Shopkeeper will have rarer items in the shop. There are also a bunch of new items add to the shop! There is also a new mythical Batomon! It makes mythical items appear in the shop and buffs your allies as you use more mythical items. Controller Support The game now has full controller support! You can now comfortably play Batomon Showdown from your Steam Deck. Quality of Life Changes - Optimized some connection issues. Players should be getting less "connection failed" popups. - Added the "batopedia", "settings", and "quit to menu" buttons to the event phase. - Added a label on the item shop slot that shows how many more item uses you have left. - Reduced damage number size scaling to improve late game battle visibility. - A ton of changes to descriptions to make wording more consistent. - Long usernames now automatically shrink to fit better during the battle intro animation. - If a monster has more than 4 stats, the stat labels under the monster sprites now stack upwards instead of only keeping the highest 3. Balance Changes TRINKETS Shady Contract At higher ranks, staying at lower shop ranks and farming buffs onto bugs was a very powerful strategy. I think being able to easily stay at low shop ranks forever is not a very fun or healthy way to play the game. So, I'm deciding to remove this trinket entirely REMOVED Fancy Sword There currently is too much trinket support for fast casting Batomon and not enough for slow big hitters. So reworking this one to support the later better. Reworked to give +3% damage per trinket Mini Duplicator, Mega Duplicator, Ultra Duplicator Currently, these trinket duplicate trinkets gotten from any source. However, some interactions such as doubling the Mysterious Mask gotten from Masked Man has repeatedly been reported as a bug, so it seems unintuitive. Also, having your duplicator used up by something like Wishwash's ability is also not as satisfying as having it trigger on a trinket you actually get to select. Wording and effect changed to specify that it only works on trinkets gotten from trinket gifts. TRAINERS Swim Coach Currently, the power of water Batomon are too tied to Swim Coach. I think this warrants a rework so that water Batomon could have room to be buffed in the future. However, Swim Coach is one of the 3 trainers offered to new players on their first game, so the ability must remain simple to play around. Ability reworked to: Gain a random Water Batomon each day. (Depends on your shop odds) ITEMS Focus Pill No ability teams seem to be very dominant at higher ranks. Focus Pill seems the be the most out of line support for the no ability teams. Cooldown Speed buff: 25% -> 15% BATOMON Torrantler Out of all the water Batomon, this probably warrants a buff the most. I'm going to wait and see on all the other water Batomon to see if a buff is warranted after the Swim Coach rework. Cooldown 10 seconds -> 8 seconds Bambudo Ever since mid-game base HP was reduced, on cast scaler indirectly got much worse. So Bambudo is getting a buff to compensate. Damage buff on cast: 25 -> 35 Prismagon Same rationale as above. Damage buff on cast per type: 5/10/15 -> 10/20/30 Noxalith Noxalith was underperforming and was rarely picked up, even in poison teams. Poison buff on cast: 2/4/6 -> 3/6/9 Magmalith This seems to be overperforming by a huge margin. Also, all of the suitable recipients of it's buff are also overperforming (Lignite, Blazewing, Blixie). Cooldown 8 seconds -> 10 seconds Thorntail Thorntail is underperforming by a huge margin. Damage buff per poison inflicted: 4/8/12 -> 6/12/18 Geminiss Rock teams generally struggle for most of the game until finding Geminiss. I'm going to give this a pretty hefty nerf so there is more room to buff the mid game rock Batomon. Shield buff on cast: 70/140/210% -> 50/100/150% Aegistruct Cooldown 8 seconds -> 7 seconds Stalagrove Damage gain from shield: 10/20/30% -> 15/30/45% Coalem Shield 400/800/1200 -> 450/900/1350 Wishwash Wishwash is slightly underperforming. I'm giving it some extra sell value so you get a little bump late game when you want to get rid of it. Also giving it a bit more combat power, so you lose less lives for farming trinkets with it. Sell value $0 -> $20 Heal 100/200/300 -> 150/300/450 Reapra Reapra is getting played very often in higher ranks and has a very high win rate. I'm giving it a slight nerf for now, but still going to keep an eye on this in the future. Cooldown 6/3/2 seconds -> 7.5/3.7/2.5 seconds Galvanine Seems to be slightly underpeforming. Cooldown 8 seconds -> 7 seconds Pyronade It's the least popular uncommon Batomon, since it seems players prefer to pick scaling Batomon rather than Batomon that gives immediate combat power. However it seems to be the best uncommon Batomon by a decent margin. Burn 20/40/60 -> 18/36/54 Bugfixes - Fixed a visual bug with shiny Gildshell where it's damage stat label was not updating to its current damage until it casts. Also changed its ability to calculate damage based on total sell value rather than just bonus sell value. - Fixed a visual bug where the damage number from status effects was not showing the post-mitigated damage from shield's status damage reduction. - Fixed a bug with Berroon, where it would not give and extra item use if it was transformed into it from a different Batomon. - Fixed a rare issue where if you selected a trinket too quickly on the trinket gift select menu, it would cause the game to get stuck. - Fixed a bug where the shop odds UI does not immediately update after you pick up the VIP Pass trinket.
Demo Patch 0.7.4
- Now when using any transformation stone items (green stone, blue stone, etc) the new Batomon keeps base sell value of the pre-transformed Batomon. - Fixed a shop bug for monsters that evolve (Dribblet, Scorchimp, Panbud). Batomon of a species are supposed to stop appearing in the shop if you have a level 3 of that species, but these were previously bypassing that due to evolving into a different species. Now a level 3 evolved Batomon from also stops pre-evolutions from appearing in the shop. - Fixed a bug where you could not see the effects of Mysterious Mask trinkets owned by the enemy. - Capped Batomon stats (damage, burn, etc) to 999,999,999. - Gamer's ability now gives an additional $30 on day 9. - Egg Breeder's Purple Egg now gives a level 2 Super Rare Batomon, but takes one day longer to hatch than before. Celestia and Reapra are now excluded from possible candidates for the Purple Egg.
Demo Patch 0.7.3 - Bugfixes
- Fixed an issue where if you disconnect mid-game and reload, you would lose progress or the state of the shop would be different from what it was. - Fixed a bug where if you disconnect or your game crashed during day 1, upon reloading the shop may be empty. - Fixed Mad Scientist's ability not transforming all your monsters if you disconnect or crash right as the transformation was happening. - Fixed unexpected behaviour when a player takes lethal damage and shields on the exact same tick. Casts that happen on the exact same tick now resolve in a set order. From first to last: shield -> damage -> apply status effects -> heal. - Fixed your in game display name not updating alongside your Steam name. - Fixed a bug that would cause the level up merge tutorial to play multiple times. - Fixed Zephyrex being able to gain multicast via Aerophim. - Aerophim's transform now also revives allies that are knocked out. - Aerophim transforming Rigalord's spawns no longer makes them permanent.
Demo Patch 0.7.2 - Connection issue bug fix, Extended mode
Fixed an issue that was causing certain Wi-Fi networks to not be able to connect to the game. Added an option to enable an "Extended Mode" in the settings menu. Turn this on allows the option to continue playing a run even after winning 10 badges. It extends the run up to day 40.
Demo Patch 0.7.1
BALANCE CHANGES Electranade - Shock 30/60/90 -> 25/50/75 Frizzly - Shock 10/20/30 -> 8/16/24 Swim Coach - Cooldown speed buff: +50% -> +40% BUGFIXES Fixed a bug where if a player force quits the game during a battle where they would win or lose the entire run, the save would remain and they could load and keep playing. Fixed the Zenith Stone trinket not affecting Warhorn's damage buff. Fixed a bug where the Metronome trinket was not buffing Rigalord's summons. Fixed a bug where shiny Aster highlights incorrectly what slots are affected by its ability. Fixed a bug with Rainbow Berry trinket not counting the extra fire types added by Chef's ability Fixed the HP label UI in the shop not updating on a new day immediately.
Demo Patch 0.7.0 - Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug where if you get Gamer's ability from a Mysterious Mask that was gotten from the extra life event on exactly day 8, the ability will not trigger. Also fixed the same bug with a Mysterious Mask of Mad Scientist on day 6. - Fixed a bug where Recombobulator event option from the genius inventor event would not work properly if a transformation triggered a level up merge. - Fixed a typo with Cosmivore's ability.
Huge Demo Update: Mythical Batomon! New Trainers and Trinkets! Ranked Mode!
Mythical Batomon! Welcome to the Mythical update for the demo! This update will introduce a new rarity of Batomon: Mythical. These Mythical Batomon are higher rarity than Legendary, and are not normally available in the shop. Discover all the special trainers, trinkets and events that let you encounter these new mythical Batomon. New Trainers! Introducing 4 new trainers, with brand new, unique playstyles! New Trinkets! Alongside the new Mythical Batomon comes the Mythical trinkets! There are also a few other trinkets added as well, that may help you access the new Mythical content. Ranked Mode! Compete against challenging opponents to earn stars and climb the ranks in this new mode! Balance Changes There are too many balance changes in this patch to list in this announcement, but I'll mention one big systematic change to effects that buff cooldown. Previously Batomon and trinkets that buffed cooldown would either reduce cooldown by a percentage or reduce by a flat amount. The math behind how these stacked is fundamentally unhealthy for the game. So, all these effects have now been unified to buff a new stat: Cooldown Speed. Cooldown speed increases how frequent your Batomon triggers. For example, a +100% Cooldown Speed would double how often your Batomon triggers, so if it had a cooldown of 6 seconds, it would be reduced to 3 seconds. All Batomon, Trinkets, and Items that reduced cooldown in some way, are now changed to increase Cooldown Speed.
Demo Patch 0.6.1 - Pebbler and bug hotfix
BALANCE CHANGES Shield damage reduction against status effect damage: 35% -> 25% Pebbler Cost $10 -> $15 Aegistruct Now excludes other Aegistructs from its effect Gaiadrasil Now excludes other Gaiadrasil from its effect BUGFIX Fixed level 4 Tortress having way less shield than intended Fixed bell trinkets (Quick Bell, Power Bell, etc) giving more stats than intended Fixed visual bug where if you have the Link Cable trinket, a shiny Pylong on the bench seems gives its buff to the team. Fixed a bug where level up merging Gildshell would sometimes reset its sell value. MISC Changed Torrantler's description to specify it excludes other Torrantler for its ability Changed Puffloon's description to specify it excludes other Puffloon for its ability
Demo 0.6.0 - Balance Patch
QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES - In the end of battle stats screen, the amount of shock damage triggered is now added to that monster's damage dealt. - Added trinkets, day, and lives left info to the end of run screen. - Added a screenshot button to the end of run screen. - The Batopedia is now accessible from the main menu. - UI will now show when a Batomon is at the 1 second cooldown limit. - Added trinket, day, and lives left info to event state. - Added the function to view your team when selecting a trinket gotten from an event. BALANCE CHANGES SYSTEM When playing rock Batomon, it can feel like too much of a matchmaking coinflip if you run into Poison teams or not. Poison no longer ignores shield. Currently, shielding has a problem where shield teams want to stall but status effects naturally scales the longer the battle goes. Shield is getting resistance to status to counteract this. Damage from status effects now deal 30% less damage to shield. BATOMON Currently shield Batomon are underperforming, especially in the early game, so they're getting some slight buffs. Pebbler Cooldown 5.5 -> 4 seconds Cost $15 -> $10 Tortress Shield 200/400/600 -> 250/500/750 Craghorn Damage gained on item used: 10/20/30 -> 15/30/45 Aegistruct Aegistruct + Draconarch was already decent, so it's getting a preemptive nerf to offset the buff to the shielding mechanic Cooldown 7 -> 8 Geminiss The multiplicative scaling isn't very healthy, even though the Geminiss itself wasn't that good due to how slow it is. So, I'm changing the mulitplier from its ability to be additive (which means consecutive casts are much weaker) but making it faster and the buff bigger to offset the change. Changed the shield multiplier buff to be additive rather than multiplicative. Cooldown 12 -> 10 Buff to adjacent ally shields: 50%/100%/150% -> 100%/200%/300% Venopuff This is currently the strongest common Batomon in the first few rounds. Poison 5/10/15 -> 4/8/12 Puffloon This change mostly aims to make leveling up Puffloon more attractive. It also takes advantage of permanent buffs better this way, which is needed since currently, poison does not scale well into the late game. Multicast 1/1/1 -> 1/2/3 Poison 1/2/3 -> 1/1/1 Heal 10/20/30 -> 10/10/10 Thorntail Thorntail is underpeforming at all stages of the game even despite poison team's good early game. Damage buff on poison inflicted: 3/6/9 -> 4/8/12 Cobrex Poison teams are underperforming late game, so Cobrex is getting a small buff. Cooldown 20 -> 15 seconds Shock teams are overperforming at all stages of the game, while being very flexible and consistent to build. Most of these are getting slight nerfs Joltail Shock 5/10/25 -> 4/8/12 Ironcore Cost $30 -> $40 Humbolt This thing is still problematic since it trigger shock damage extremely fast while having decent shock application itself. Shock 5/7/8 -> 1/1/1 Damage 1/1/1 -> 30/40/45 Galvanine Scales too quickly into a fight with charges from Dracana/Ironcore. Cooldown 7 -> 9 seconds Saberhorn One of the main culprits that's causing late game fights to end insanely fast. Cooldown 6 -> 8 seconds Cooldown increase on cast: 6 -> 8 seconds Dryadell Dryadell is very much overperforming in the late game. Cooldown 4.5 -> 5.5 Zephyrex Easy access to multicast is letting stuff like Plunderbird and Humbolt run over teams late game. Cooldown 9 -> 11 Primsagon Seems to be decent, but very unpopular, so it's getting small buff. Cooldown 5 -> 4.5 seconds Mosslug Does not consistently carry early game, so it's getting a cost reduction to make it more attractive as a tempo pick up. Cost $15 -> $10 Boomagon Slight cost increase to further accentuate the tradeoff of losing more early in exchange for scaling when playing Boomagon. Cost $30 -> $35 ITEMS Purple Gift Very frustrating to get VIP Pass out of this item if you still need commons or uncommons. Will no longer give VIP Pass TRINKETS Metronome Damage buff on cast: 20 -> 10 TRAINERS Chef Currently the trainer with the highest average wins by a decent margin. He's not very popular so may be biased towards more experienced players, so just getting a small nerf for now. Burn buff: 3 -> 2 BUGFIX - Fixed level 4 Wishwash's ability not having an effect. - Fixed a bug where if a monster got fire typing from Chef's ability, and then transformed into a monster that does is not mono-type, it would still keep the fire typing. - Fixed a bug where if you had multiples of the Ancient Plume trinket, only around half of them would trigger at once. - Fixed a visual bug where when you gain the Market License trinket, the shop rank gained is not immediately reflected in the UI.
Demo Patch 0.5.4 - Bug hotfix
Last patch, I changed how ongoing abilities and trinket passives get updated for performance reasons. This broke certain ongoing abilities. Fixed a bug where some ongoing abilities (like Fumungus) does not get updated during battle.
Demo Patch 0.5.3 - Performance optimization
Fixed some issues that was causing lag if you had a lot of trinkets.
Demo Patch 0.5.2 - Chemist hotfix
Now that that there are items and trinkets to lower the shop rank, it's become too easy to hit thousands or even millions of poison on Chemist's ability. Chemist (OLD) Your Toxic monsters have +1 Poison. When any monster levels up to level 3, double this effect. (NEW) Your Toxic monsters have +1 Poison. When any monster levels up, this effect gains +1 Poison.
Demo Patch 0.5.1 - Bug hotfix
Fixed a bug where opponents with Shady Contract or Market License would also change the player's shop rank.
Demo Patch 0.5.0
NEW STUFF FEATURES Add a "stats" screen to end of battles, where you can view how much damage or statuses each monster contributed to the battle. BATOMON Shock builds (especially with Humbolt) currently scales the best into late game due to the fact that cast frequency with shock scales multiplicatively with itself, since it increases the rate shock is applied and how much its triggered. Due to this, Voltalith has been replaced with a new monster to prevent easy access to permanent shock. Some shock monsters have slight buffs to compensate. Ironcore Rare, Steel Type On Cast: Charge adjacent electric allies by 1/2/3 second(s) Voltalith removed from the shop pool TRINKET The Market License item felt less like a consumable item and something more permanent, so it's been made into a trinket instead. An item with the same effect will take its place. Market License Uncommon Increase shop rank by 1 Adding some options for when players may want to stay at a low shop rank to look for common/uncommon monsters. Shady Contract Common Lower shop rank by 1. At the start of each day, gain $5 ITEMS Black Feather let certain monsters like Gaiadrasil, which can be triggered by other monsters, easily get enough damage to one shot kill opponents. Giving easy access to multicast in general is hard to balance, so the item has been removed. A few new items have been added to take its place. Black Feather Removed Golden Gift Legendary Gain a random Legendary trinket Purple Gift Super Rare Gain a random Super Rare trinket Adding some options for when players may want to stay at a low shop rank to look for common/uncommon monsters. Basic Bait Common Lower shop rank by 1 The Market License item felt less like a consumable item and something more permanent, so it's been made into a trinket instead. An item with the same effect will take its place. Apex Bait Uncommon Increase shop rank by 1 BALANCE CHANGES SYSTEM Battles still are often over near instantly endgame so I'm upping base HP once more. Base HP scaling per day increased BATOMON Humbolt Humbolt is affected the most by the removal of Voltalith so it's base shock value buffs to compensate Damage 15 -> 1 Shock 2/3/4 -> 5/7/8 Cost 30 -> 25 Clawnetic Damage 30 -> 60 Galvanine Often hits the cap of 1 second cooldown easily, and does not scale any further. This made Galvanine extremely good mid game but often worse than lower rarity shock monsters late game. Giving it more in battle scaling but reduce how quick it scales. On cast: reduce cooldown by 1 second for the battle, (NEW) and gain +2/4/6 shock for the battle Cooldown 4 -> 7 Joltail (Shiny) Shock 5 -> 5/10/15 Coalem (Shiny) It's can feel unfair to have too much damage on something that triggers at the start of battle, so shiny Coalem is getting defensive scaling instead. (Old) Start of Battle: Gain +10/20/30 Burn permanently (NEW) Start of Battle: Gain +30/60/90 Shield permanently Sirenade Endgame water teams can feel unbeatable, so their debuff removal is taking a slight hit. This might not be enough, but I'm choosing to wait and see since there is also a bugfix that will negatively impact water teams. Debuff removed on cast 25/45/65% -> 20/35/50% BUGFIX - Fixed a bug where Chef's ability was not applying to monster hatched from eggs. - Fixed a bug where the stone items were could not trigger a level up merge. - Fixed a bug where even with the VIP Ticket trinket, there was still a very small chance of getting common monsters in the shop. - Fixed a bug where a level up merge is triggered from a monster gotten from Monster Ranger's ability does not give a trinket reward. - Fixed a bug where Cinderfly, Shogapede, and Guardiant's abilities were giving double the amount of buffs they were suppose to. - Fixed a visual bug where leveling up Lignite would appear to disable its ability. - Fixed a bug where if a monster healed on the exact tick where you took lethal damage, it would always prevent you from losing. - Fixed a bug where the Coupon item's discount would be reverted from the shop if you bought any monster that triggered a level up. - Fixed a bug where Zephyrex could still get multicast in certain situations.
Demo Patch 0.4.3 - Bug hotfix
- Fixed a bug that caused Wishwash's ability to stop working since the last patch - Fixed a bug where Celestia was also preventing ongoing monster from casting - Fixed a bug where monster sometimes would lose their extra typing on level up merge (like grass type gotten from the dryad statue event)
Demo Patch 0.4.2 - Bug hotfix
- Fixed a bug with shiny Zephyrex not giving the correct buffs. - Fixed a bug where opponents who are playing the trainer Rich Lady would give the player +2 shop rank.
Demo Patch 0.4.1 - Bug hotfix
Small bugfix patch: - Fixed a bug where players with high matchmaking rating were still playing with a very limited matchmaking pool. - Fixed Thorntail getting buffed from opponents inflicting poison. - If you have Ancient Plumes, they can now trigger all at once, instead of triggering only 1 per battle. - Fixed Upgrade Disc destroying itself without doing anything if you already buy a monster that already has a level up merge setup (i.e. you already have 2 of the same species of the monster you are going to buy) - Fixed a bug with Wishwash's ability where the trinkets it gives you in battle aren't the same as the one you kept for the rest of the run. - Changed Swim Coach's ability to affect level 4 water monsters as well.
Demo Update - Durability Patch [v0.4.0]
Late game battles are often still finishing so fast that it's hard to understand what happened. In this patch there are across the board nerfs to late game multiplicative scaling so HP bars don't get depleting near instantly. Hopefully the nerfs are light enough players still feel significant power scaling throughout a run which is my vision for the game. The other big part of this patch is performance improvements, which there's not too much to talk about, but I've done some pretty significant rewriting of the codebase. Hopefully there's no lag anymore in late game battles. QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES - Optimized performance to reduce lag spikes in battles. - If you lock it and there are empty slots, the empty slots will now be refilled the next day. - Matchmaking changed so new players will have slightly more challenging opponents if they are doing well. Also expanded the matchmaking pool for experienced players so they don't keep running into the same opponents. BALANCE CHANGES SYSTEM - Base HP scaling per day increased BATOMON Blixie (OLD) Whenever a Fire ally triggers, give it Burn for this battle equal to 1x/2x/3x Blixie's Burn (NEW) On Cast: Give the Fire ally to the right 1x/2x/3x this monster's Burn for this battle Cooldown 15 seconds -> 8 seconds Burn 5 -> 30 Clawnetic (OLD) Whenever an ally inflicts Shock, trigger this 1x/2x/3x (NEW) Whenever an ally inflicts Shock, Charge this by 1/2/3 seconds Cooldown 8 seconds -> 3 seconds Geminiss Cooldown 7.5 seconds -> 12 seconds Stellagon (Old) On Battle Start: Adjacent allies with no abilities gain +1/+2/+3 Multicast permanently (NEW) Ongoing: adjacent allies with no abilities have +2/+4/+6 Multicast Torrantler (OLD) On cast: Trigger all Water allies (NEW) On cast: Trigger adjacent Water allies Zephyrex On Cast: Give the Flying ally to the right +1 Multicast permanently. (NEW) This monster cannot gain Multicast. Saberhorn On Cast: Give the ally to the right +1 Multicast (NEW) and increase this monster's Cooldown by +5 seconds for this battle. Draconarch On Cast: Activate the On Battle Start abilities of adjacent allies (NEW) and increase this monster's Cooldown by +6 seconds for this battle. Onsetra (OLD) Adjacent allies apply their {ongoing} abilities {repeats} additional time(s) (NEW) Ally to the left applies their {ongoing} ability {repeats} additional time(s) TRAINERS A couple trainers where both underperforming and unpopular, so they'll get some solid buffs Swim Coach Cooldown reduction 0.5 second -> 1 second Youngster Free rerolls per day 2 -> 3 BUGFIX - Fixed a visual bug where it looked like Draconarch's ability was affecting Shelldra's ability.
Demo Patch 0.3.2 - Battle Theme Changed!
It's no secret that Batomon goes for a retro Pokemon-inspired style, but a lot of you guys have said that the battle music is uncomfortably close to the actual old Pokemon battle theme, so I'm swapping it out. There are also some other bug fixes and optimizations in this small patch. - Changed the battle theme to a new music track. - Significantly improved performance. Should almost never experience lag now, even in end game. - Fixed a visual bug where it looked like Draconarch was affecting Fumungus's ability. - Removed text about cost scaling in Market License's description since it no longer has that effect.
Demo Patch 0.3.1 - Bug hotfix
- Fixed shiny Berroon's description not displaying correctly - Fixed an issue where the game gets laggier the longer you play. (There are other still performance issues that will take some time to get optimized). - Fixed and issue where if you buy a discounted bug with Bug Collector's passive, merge to a level 2/3 and sell it, the total sell value is 0 no matter what. Now it should reduce sell value by half of the discount you got.
