Endless Mode // beyond the tenth badge

Batomon
Endless Mode.

Batomon Showdown players call it endless mode. The game calls it Extended Mode. Both names point at the same setting: a run continues past the tenth badge, up to Day 40, with achievements off and no balance guarantees. The details below use official patch notes and the game's text.

In-game settings

One setting, two names.

The settings screen labels the feature Extended Mode and explains it in one line: “This feature extends runs beyond 10 badges.”. Recorded Showdowns on BatoForge carry the same mode label, so an extended run is identifiable in the record.

Official patch notes

Day 40 is the official ceiling.

The patch that added the setting describes it directly: enable an option in the settings menu, continue playing a run after winning 10 badges, and extend the run up to day 40.

Game settings

How to turn it on.

The menu layout may vary between game versions. Look for Extended Mode in Settings and read the warning before enabling it.

01

Open Settings

Extended Mode is available in the game's settings menu.

02

Find Extended Mode

Its own explanation reads: “This feature extends runs beyond 10 badges.”

03

Type the confirmation

The warning reads: “This is an uncurated and unbalanced experience. To enable it, type the following:” The confirmation phrase is shown on that same screen.

04

Know the tradeoff

The confirmation note states: “Note: Balance changes are not made with extended mode in mind, and achievements are disabled. This mode is for those who want to keep pushing the limits of a run for fun.”

What changes past the tenth badge.

01

Runs continue past 10 badges

Standard Showdowns end at the tenth badge. With Extended Mode on, the run keeps going up to Day 40. Demo Patch 0.7.2 →

03

No balance guarantees

The game calls the mode “uncurated and unbalanced”, and official balance patches target the standard game. The 1.2.0 notes even fixed a stacked stat that could reach 0 in Extended Mode. v1.2.0 notes →

04

Opponents stay online

Extended runs search for opponents like any other run; a hotfix specifically repaired Extended Mode runs finding no opponents and facing a copy of your own team. Hotfix 1.0.3 →

05

Higher Trainer HP after Day 10

The 1.0.0 notes raised base Trainer HP at Day 10+ because late fights were regularly over in under two seconds. 1.0.0 notes →

BatoForge analysis

Planning a longer run.

Consider how stats, cooldowns, and income change as the Days add up. These notes offer starting points for planning a team.

Long runs // stats

Stat stacking

Stats can reach very high values in Extended Mode. The v1.2.0 notes fixed Alpha Crown setting a monster's Damage to 0 once it was “stacked extremely high”.

Long runs // timing

Cooldown Speed

A +50% Cooldown Speed bonus divides the base cooldown by 1.5, with a minimum result of 0.1 seconds. Use the calculator to compare form and level values, then account for the effects your team adds during battle.

Long runs // gold

Economy scaling

You gain gold equal to your Income each day. Longer runs give recurring income more days to pay out, so consider how much gold an economy choice can produce before your run ends.

Choosing a team

Check the game version, Trainer, Trinkets, positions, forms, levels, and Day when comparing teams for a long run.

Questions

Common questions.

What is Endless Mode in Batomon Showdown?

The game's own name for it is Extended Mode. It is a setting that lets a run continue past the tenth badge — the community calls this endless mode. The official patch that added it says it extends a run up to Day 40.

How do I enable Extended Mode?

Turn it on in the game's settings menu. The setting carries its own warning, and enabling it means accepting that balance changes are not made with the mode in mind and that achievements are disabled.

How long can an endless run go?

Up to Day 40, according to the official patch notes that introduced Extended Mode (Demo Patch 0.7.2).

Do achievements work in Extended Mode?

No. The game's own confirmation text states that achievements are disabled and that balance changes are not made with extended mode in mind.

Is Extended Mode balanced?

The game itself describes it as 'an uncurated and unbalanced experience'. Official balance patches target the standard game, not Extended Mode.

Does the standard 10-badge mode go away?

No. Extended Mode is opt-in through settings. Without it, a Showdown ends at the tenth badge as usual.
