BatoForge analysis // Features and balance
What this update means for your run
The Witch update adds a daily shop Potion and changes Furnadon's scaling to count different Trinkets. Sarudo becomes cheaper and more common with lower Damage, while Aviarab moves to Rare with higher Damage and cost.
- Furnadon's Burn per Trinket rises from 1/2/3 to 2/4/6, but repeated copies no longer add to its count. Recheck a Scavenger plan using the distinct Trinkets it owns.
- Bug Catcher's first daily Bug purchase changes from free to $10 off. Emberpaw needs 20 Burn applications to evolve instead of 25; Lignite, Dribblet, Aster, and Mystic Pearl also receive numerical buffs.
- The fixes align attacks with displayed cooldowns, stop simultaneous Sirenades from over-cleansing, and correct evolving or Silenced On Victory recipients. Club bonuses, Rigged Dice, and Mystic Incense also need their stated conditions respected.
Before using an older guide
Read the following 1.4.1 patch before using the original Potion prices or Black Belt timing. Items that would have no effect are now disabled in the shop; inspect the intended target before budgeting a purchase.

An offer is greyed out and cannot be bought after the last Electric monster is sold, because it would have no effect.
Pompummel ↗
Replaying On Victory now uses an evolving ally's updated ability, and a Silenced monster's On Victory no longer fires through Pompummel.
Small Club ↗
No longer keeps its shop Damage bonus when an ally such as Shrinell or Formiqueen brings the monster's cooldown below 5 seconds.

From the announcement
Some mentions are fixes or explanations rather than balance changes. Read the full announcement for context.
Aerophim ↗
Fixed Noxnimbus not highlighting the Toxic allies it buffs, and Petrirex and Aerophim not highlighting the slots next to them.
Aster ↗
Aster Heal to adjacent Water allies: 25/50/75 → 30/60/90
Basilord ↗
Fixed Pompummel replaying an evolving ally's old On Victory, so an Ignit above it got stuck as Flarilisk mid-battle instead of reaching Basilord.
Dribblet ↗
Dribblet Heal: 15/30/45 → 20/40/60
Emberpaw ↗
Emberpaw Fairly unpopular and underperforming. Burns to evolve: 25 → 20
Flarilisk ↗
Fixed Pompummel replaying an evolving ally's old On Victory, so an Ignit above it got stuck as Flarilisk mid-battle instead of reaching Basilord.
Formiqueen ↗
Fixed Small Club and Giant Club keeping their Damage bonus in the shop when an ally like Shrinell or Formiqueen took the monster's cooldown under 5 sec.
Furnadon ↗
Scavenger paired with Furnadon is overperforming pretty hard. However, both of them seem to just average when not played together. This change to Furnadon should break their synergy without making them too weak when played on their own.
Gildshell ↗
Gildshell Extremely high pick rate, and increases a run's winrate substantially when picked at any point. It's also overperforming even harder in higher ranks. Cost: 20 → 25
Guardiant ↗
She's overperforming when playing Guardiant and looks to be very good in both regions even when not playing Guardiant.
Ignit ↗
Fixed Pompummel replaying an evolving ally's old On Victory, so an Ignit above it got stuck as Flarilisk mid-battle instead of reaching Basilord.
Lignite ↗
Lignite Still underperforming, and is the least popular Rare Batomon in Pantra. Cooldown: 5 → 4.5
Noxnimbus ↗
Fixed Noxnimbus not highlighting the Toxic allies it buffs, and Petrirex and Aerophim not highlighting the slots next to them.
Onsetra ↗
Fixed a painted species gained onto a full board, like the Dragon Tamer's Onsetra, arriving without its paint.
Petrirex ↗
Fixed Noxnimbus not highlighting the Toxic allies it buffs, and Petrirex and Aerophim not highlighting the slots next to them.
Pompummel ↗
Fixed Pompummel replaying an evolving ally's old On Victory, so an Ignit above it got stuck as Flarilisk mid-battle instead of reaching Basilord.
Pompummel ↗
Fixed a silenced monster's On Victory still firing from Pompummel or Black Belt.
Sarudo ↗
Sarudo Still underperforming and almost never played. Lowering the rarity should make it come out earlier where losing is not as punishing. Rarity: Rare → Uncommon Cost: 25 → 20
Sarudo ↗
Swapped rarities with Sarudo, as this is still looking like the strongest Uncommon in Jinto even after the nerf last patch.
Shrinell ↗
Fixed Small Club and Giant Club keeping their Damage bonus in the shop when an ally like Shrinell or Formiqueen took the monster's cooldown under 5 sec.
Zephyrex ↗

New
Added the Witch trainer: the first shop rolled each day contains a Potion, a new family of 15 items that only she can bring to the shop.
QoL
Shop items that would do nothing are now greyed out and can't be bought, like a Voucher once every monster on the shelf is gone, or a Battery Pack after your last Electric monster was sold.
On mobile, tapping an event option now selects it and Confirm takes it, so you can tap the reward to inspect it first.
Cards now show the red LIMIT badge again when a monster's cooldown is already at the 0.1 sec minimum and more Cooldown Speed does nothing.
Balance Changes
Shared Batomon
Gildshell Extremely high pick rate, and increases a run's winrate substantially when picked at any point. It's also overperforming even harder in higher ranks. Cost: 20 → 25
Jinto Batomon
Sarudo Still underperforming and almost never played. Lowering the rarity should make it come out earlier where losing is not as punishing. Rarity: Rare → Uncommon Cost: 25 → 20 Damage: 100/200/300 → 75/150/225
Aviarab Swapped rarities with Sarudo, as this is still looking like the strongest Uncommon in Jinto even after the nerf last patch. Rarity: Uncommon → Rare Cost: 25 → 30 Damage: 15/30/45 → 20/40/60
Furnadon Scavenger paired with Furnadon is overperforming pretty hard. However, both of them seem to just average when not played together. This change to Furnadon should break their synergy without making them too weak when played on their own. Burn per trinket: 1/2/3 → 2/4/6 Duplicate trinkets: counted → not counted
Emberpaw Fairly unpopular and underperforming. Burns to evolve: 25 → 20
Pantra Batomon
Lignite Still underperforming, and is the least popular Rare Batomon in Pantra. Cooldown: 5 → 4.5
Water Batomon seem to be doing well late game, but are underperforming early game in Pantra. Dribblet Heal: 15/30/45 → 20/40/60
Aster Heal to adjacent Water allies: 25/50/75 → 30/60/90
Trainers and Items
Bug Catcher She's overperforming when playing Guardiant and looks to be very good in both regions even when not playing Guardiant. First Bug bought each day: free → $10 off
Mystic Pearl Water Batomon are underperforming early game in Pantra, so this will hopefully be a slight buff. Heal given to Water allies: +10 → +15
Green Stone Currently this can be used to gain a ton of money with multiple membership cards, so I'm limiting it once per round. Can appear in the shop: any number of times per round → once per round
