Using Upgrade Disc
Upgrade Disc levels up the next monster you buy, then is consumed. Buying the intended recruit first controls its one-use reward.
When it fits
It fits a valuable recruit whose upgraded ability helps the long-term team and whose purchase you can afford soon.
How to use it
Read the next-level ability and plan the replacement slot before buying. Silver Watch requires a merge level-up, so this purchase-triggered level should be treated separately.
Example
When the shop holds an attacker you plan to keep and a cheap filler, buying the attacker next directs the level-up to it. Buying the filler first spends the disc there.
What you give up
Confirm that the recruit can use the level before consuming the disc. The purchase-triggered level-up alone is no basis for counting an additional gift.
