BatoForge strategy notes
Using Smuggler
Smuggler brings Batomon from other regions into your shop at a 25% discount. Cross-region recruits can fill roles missing from your existing options.
When it fits
It rewards a flexible team and a willingness to read unfamiliar abilities. A composition needing only local species has fewer reasons to prefer the extra access.
How to use it
Check a recruit’s region, ability, and displayed price. Compare it with the slot it would replace and the support it needs, then decide whether to commit further money to duplicates.
Example
An eligible cross-region unit with a $12 price would cost $9 with only this discount. A local unit would keep its usual price under Smuggler’s condition.
What you give up
Extra options can spread your gold across unrelated units instead of finishing a core. Smuggler is excluded from Masked Man’s pool, so a later Masked Man choice cannot supply this access.
