Using Painter
Painter gives random species every type for the run. The painted species can fill many type requirements, but they also count toward restrictions that limit how many units of a type you may field.
When it fits
Build around the species actually painted in your run. A fixed list based on ordinary typing can miss both the useful new synergies and the conditions that become harder to satisfy.
How to use it
Inspect the painted species, then check the type requirements of your units and Trinkets. Recount relevant types when adding one to the board, particularly when an effect needs exactly one recipient.
Example
A painted unit and an ordinary Electric teammate would count as two Electric units. That pair could disable Musician even though the painted recruit enables other type synergies.
What you give up
Random painting limits how precisely you can plan in advance. Painter is excluded from Masked Man’s pool, closing that route into a painted team later on.
