When it fits
It is most useful early, while several payments remain and the team can already handle the next fight.
How to use it
Keep the extra money for a purchase that improves the board. Compare the remaining payments with the immediate value of the other gift choices.
Example
After four income payments, the bonus has added 4 × $3 = $12. That can cover a $10 purchase if the offer appears after you receive the money.
What you give up
The gain takes time and adds no combat strength by itself. A dangerous next battle may call for a direct bonus instead.
