Using Fool's Gold
Fool's Gold adds $15 income but removes Items from the shop. It trades Item access for more monster purchases and rerolls.
When it fits
It fits a plan that no longer needs shop Items. Check for Basic Bait, type-stat Items or Item-dependent Trinkets before taking it.
How to use it
Use the extra income for specific merges and replacements. Reconsider any owned effects that rely on buying or using Items.
Example
Three later income payments add 3 × $15 = $45. A plan that needs Basic Bait to lower shop rank loses that shop purchase even though the budget grows.
What you give up
Compared with Gold Bar, the extra $5 per income payment comes with lost shop Items. That restriction can disable an otherwise useful Item plan.
