BatoForge strategy notes
Using Monster Ranger
Monster Ranger starts you with an Uncommon Batomon and gives another copy of that species every two days. Once you see the starter, you have a clear species to plan merges around.
When it fits
It fits a run where the starting unit’s ability and typing can earn a lasting role. If you intend to replace it immediately, many of the later copies will have little value.
How to use it
Read the starter’s levelled ability and track the next copy. Buy shop duplicates when they finish a useful merge, while continuing to strengthen the other slots instead of waiting for the schedule to solve them.
Example
The starting level 1 unit plus two later level 1 copies would meet the standard three-copy recipe for level 2. Reaching level 3 would then need a second level 2 copy.
What you give up
Predictable copies can tie gold and space to a mediocre fit. Compare the next merge’s payoff with the upgrades you would delay, particularly once the rest of the board starts to outgrow the starter.
